The story of Joey Cat and his siblingsbegan in the summer of 2013. Jenn and her brother Michael had created the cat’s as imaginary characters who participated in their adventures and travels. In August of 2021 Jenn and her family tragically lost Michael and their lives were never the same.

The story of “What About Meow?” incorporates Michaels memory through his character of Joey while walking the reader though the grieving process. Jenn hopes her story “ What About Meow?” will shed light on an incredibly dark topic and allow people going throught the grieving process to not only find a character that they feel they can relate to but find the courage to take the steps to start living life in a way that honors those they have lost.
